yeh theyll just get a £20 note
Wednesday, September 10
AND THE TWENTY QUID GOES TO... GIRLS ALOUD Congratulations to The Aloud, who've won the first ever Popjustice Twenty Quid Music Prize and, as a result, a crisp twenty pound note. If you're one of the thirty or so judges who came along to help whittle down the shortlist, thank you for playing a role in justice of a pop variety. The arguments got quite heated - hilariously, one person even stormed out, claiming the entire thing was a fix because Daniel Bedingfield had been eliminated, or something - and one member of the panel's defence of S Club 8 is probably best erased from our memories. If you're interested, Busted very nearly beat Girls Aloud; Mis-teeq's 'Scandalous' made it into the final three, and Nicola Roberts was deemed a better band member than James Out Of Busted.
